You can no longer apply for a Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) visa.

If you want to set up or run a business in the UK, you might be able to apply for an Innovator Visa or a Start Up Visa

If you already hold a Tier 1 Entrepreneur Visa, you can still apply to:

  1. Settle in the UK
  2. Have family members join you in the UK
  3. Extend your visa

Extending your visa

You may be able to extend your current Tier 1 visa if:

  • You are registered as a Director
  • You are registered as Self-Employed
  • You can prove you were Self-employed 3 months before applying
  • You have created at least 2 full time jobs
  • You continue to support yourself
  • You have invested into 1 or more businesses, either £200,000 in cash or £50,000 in cash.The fees to extend this visa are £1,277 plus £19.20 for your Biometrics.A decision will be made on your application within 8 weeks.

DO

  • Make sure you have the required evidence if you are looking to extend your visa.
  • Make sure you include a detailed cover letter with your application.
  • Make sure you meet the financial requirements and have proof of this.
